Taylor Swift Tops “Forbes’” List of Highest Paid Women in Music

ABC/Ida Mae AstuteTaylor Swift beat out Adele and Madonna to be crowned Forbes highest paid woman in music of 2016. The singer raked in around $170 million from June 2015 to June 2016, mostly thanks to her mega-successful 1989 tour and product endorsements.

Adele trails at number two, with $80.5 million, the highest annual earnings total of her career. Madonna rounds out the top three with $75.6 million.

Katy Perry, who topped the list last year with estimated earnings of $135 million, this year comes in at number six with $41 million. Other female musicians included in the top ten are Rihanna, Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez, Britney Spears, Shania Twain and Celine Dion.

Earlier this year, Taylor was number one on Forbes’ list of 100 highest-paid celebrities.
