Thom Yorke will be releasing a new solo album in 2026, if his Radiohead bandmate Ed O’Brien is to be believed.

“Thom’s got a solo album that’s gonna come out later in the year, I think,” O’Brien tells the Kyle Meredith with… podcast.

Yorke put out his last record, Tall Tales, in 2025 in collaboration with electronic musician Mark Pritchard. He also put out a single called “Dialing In” for the Apple TV series Smoke.

O’Brien, meanwhile, is releasing a new solo album called Blue Morpho on May 22. It’s the sophomore follow-up to his 2020 solo debut, Earth.

Radiohead’s most recent album remains 2016’s A Moon Shaped Pool. The band returned to the live stage in 2025 for their first tour since 2018. As O’Brien said in a previous interview, Radiohead plans to play 20 shows each year on a different continent beginning in 2027.
