“G’day, It’s Me”: Adele Announces First-Ever Australian Tour

Alasdair McLellanAussies, get those Vegemite sandwiches ready: Adele‘s going to the land Down Under.

In a handwritten note on Twitter, Adele rewrites the lyrics of her hit “Hello” to say, “G’day…it’s me….I was wondering if after 10 years in the game you’d finally like to meet…me in: Brisbane, Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Adelaide?”

“Yep! I am coming down Under,” Adele continues. “In the Round, outdoors and upgrading myself to stadiums to make sure I get to see as many of you as possible.  I can’t wait.”

Adele’s U.S. tour wraps up November 21 in Phoenix.  She’ll start her Australian tour February 28 in Perth, and then will perform March 4 in Brisbane, March 10 in Sydney, March 14 13 in Adelaide and March 18 in Melbourne.  Of course, she may end up adding many more dates as these sell out, just as she did in North America.

Tickets for the Down Under dates go on sale November 21.
