Catie LaffoonCharlie Puth dodges arrows and ends up bloody in his new video for the song “Dangerously.”
In the video, Charlie sings about being emotionally exhausted and damaged by a girl he loves “dangerously.” He and the girl, clad in a long white dress, face each other through a mirror, which Charlie eventually punches, breaking the mirror and leaving him with bloody knuckles.
Throughout the video, Charlie is seen standing in a black room as arrows with barbed tips rain down around him. One of them eventually cuts him, bloodying his arm, and by the end of the video, the arrows are flaming, too — lit by a match held by the girl, who disappears.
“I loved you dangerously/more than the air that I breathe,” sings Charlie. “Knew we would crash at the speed that we were going/Didn’t care if the explosion ruined me/Baby, I loved you dangerously.”
“Dangerously” is the latest single from Charlie’s debut album, Nine Track Mind. It follows “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” “One Call Away” and his duet with Meghan Trainor, “Marvin Gaye.”
