While she didn’t mention Donald Trump by name, Gaga encouraged Clinton supporters to view Trump’s supporters as “our allies,” noting, “What do we say? We are stronger together. And what I see in this remarkable woman is that she is ready to restore peace in this country. America is not America without its people.”
She also criticized “his” bullying, adding, “Watching what he has done to us, I can promise you, that she will protect us, not just from the outside, but from the inside as well, she will protect us.”
After noting that Clinton, “has a career in politics that spans decades of experience, education, leadership, and wisdom,” Gaga closed by saying, “Hillary Clinton is made of steel! Hillary Clinton is unstoppable!”
Gaga and the other celebrity at the rally, Jon Bon Jovi, also performed a sloppy version of Bon Jovi’s hit “Livin’ on a Prayer.”
By the way, some observers thought that Gaga’s outfit for the rally — a black military style jacket with a red armband and sparkly brooch — looked like a Nazi uniform. But as the Huffington Post points out, the jacket used to belong to Michael Jackson; Gaga bought a collection of the late King of Pop’s clothing in 2012.
