Adele Announces Two “Finale” Concerts in London Next Year

Alasdair McLellanAdele just wrapped up her 25 world tour earlier this week, and other than some shows in Australia and New Zealand in late February/early March, fans assumed that was it for seeing her live.  But she still had a few tricks up her sleeve.

The singer’s now announced Adele Live: The Finale — two shows at London’s Wembley Stadium.  She’ll play the 90,000-seat venue on June 29 and July 1st, 2017.  According to the British paper The Telegraph, this might be a response to the fact that many fans who wanted to see her during her 19 arena dates in the UK and Ireland earlier this year weren’t able to get tickets.  These shows will make available nearly five times as many tickets as before.

Adele announced the dates with a short video in which she runs up the aisle in an empty venue, saying, “She’s coming, she’s coming…two nights at Wembley Stadium!”  Then, she heads a soccer ball tossed at her by a member of her crew, cheers, and runs back down the aisle.

If you want to get tickets, you need to register at Adele.com for advance access by Monday, November 28, 8 a.m. GMT.  The general on-sale date is Friday, December 2, at 10 a.m. GMT.
