Drew LevinCamila Cabello’s post-Fifth Harmony career seems like it’s off to a great start. “Bad Things,” the singer’s duet with Machine Gun Kelly, has topped Billboard’s Pop Songs chart, which measures radio airplay.
This isn’t Camila’s first #1 on that chart — she and Fifth Harmony topped it last year with “Work from Home.” According to Billboard, there are only eight other artists who’ve hit #1 on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart as a soloist and as part of a group. They include Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, Adam Levine, Fergie, Gwen Stefani, Nate Ruess, Wyclef Jean and Rob Thomas.
More than 17 years ago, the song that inspired the hook of “Bad Things” — “Out of My Head” by Fastball — reached #8 on the same chart.
Camila’s solo album is expected later this year.
