Dan SteinbergAwards season is starting off with a bang for Justin Timberlake, Adele and Meghan Trainor: they’re among the nominees for People’s Choice Awards in the music categories.
Thanks to the success of his Trolls hit “Can’t Stop the Feeling!”, Justin is nominated in several categories, including Favorite Male Artist, where he’s up against the likes of Shawn Mendes, Blake Shelton and The Weeknd.
Adele’s up for Favorite Female Artist, and her competition includes Beyonce, Rihanna and Britney Spears. Meghan’s hit “No” is up for Favorite Song, alongside hits like JT’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” and Rihanna’s “Work.”
Other nominees include DNCE, Coldplay, The Chainsmokers, Sia and more. Of note, in the Favorite Breakout Artist category, one former member and one current member of One Direction — Niall Horan and Zayn Malik — are up against one another.
Voting is open now, and you can vote via Facebook, Facebook Messenger or at Vote.PeoplesChoice.com. Voting ends December 15 at midnight. The 2017 People’s Choice Awards will air live from Los Angeles on Wednesday, January 18 at 9 p.m. ET on CBS.
