Alasdair McLellanWell, “Hello,” Ms. Moneybags. Adele has topped Heat magazine’s annual list of the richest British celebrities under the age of 30.
Last year, Adele raked in about 47 million dollars and came in at #4 on the list, but this year, she’s on top, thanks to the success of her latest album 25, her sold-out world tour and her new record deal, which earned her an advance of seven million bucks.
Heat estimates Adele’s worth to be around $114 million, which according to the magazine makes her not only the richest British celeb under 30, but the U.K.’s richest-ever female musician. The magazine claims she spends her money on mansions in London and L.A., a Porsche, a high-priced bodyguard, pricey toys for her son and parties for her friends, but that’s all based on tabloid reports.
The U.K.’s second richest celeb under 30 is Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe, who Heat says is worth about 91 million bucks. Coming in at number three, it’s Ed Sheeran, who’s worth around 56 million dollars.
In other Adele news, she and her posse absolutely killed the online “Mannequin Challenge” craze. She and about six or seven other people dressed in cowboy garb and posed in a bar, all frozen as though they were in the middle of a saloon scene in an old Western. One guy’s holding a chair above his head, someone’s mixing a drink at the bar, people are laughing, one guy’s playing the piano — it looks like a Westworld outtake. The Johnny Cash classic “The Man in Black” soundtracks the sepia-toned Instagram video.
